About these Terms
Brocco is operated by Fasten Pty Ltd (ABN 96 687 419 754), a company registered in Australia ("Fasten", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms are an agreement between you and Fasten Pty Ltd. References to "Brocco" or "the App" mean the Brocco mobile application and related services.
Independence
Brocco is independent. We're not paid, sponsored, or influenced by food manufacturers, brands, or retailers. Scores come from public ingredient data and our own scoring rules — no one can buy a higher rating, and no advertising appears in the app.
Not medical advice
Brocco gives general information about food ingredients and additives. It's not medical, dietary, or professional advice and shouldn't replace guidance from a qualified healthcare professional. Always exercise your own judgment.
Liability
The information in Brocco is provided "as is". We don't guarantee it's complete, current, or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Fasten Pty Ltd doesn't accept liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of or reliance on it. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded by agreement.
Data sources
Product data comes from Open Food Facts, a community-maintained database we don't independently verify. Additive risk assessments draw on published guidelines from CSPI, FSANZ, EFSA, IARC, and WHO and may not reflect the most current scientific consensus.
Subscriptions
Brocco offers auto-renewing subscriptions through the App Store. Pricing and free trials are shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancel anytime via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Intellectual property
The Brocco name, mascot, and original content are © 2026 Fasten Pty Ltd. Open Food Facts data is licensed under the Open Database License.
Acceptable use and indemnification
Don't use Brocco for anything unlawful, don't reverse-engineer it, and don't scrape data through it. You agree to indemnify Fasten Pty Ltd against any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the app, breach of these Terms, or reliance on Brocco's information for purposes it isn't designed for.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in Victorian courts. If you access Brocco from outside Australia, you're responsible for complying with your local laws.
